Students and 18 to 24 year olds get 90 days of Amazon Prime free in Italy. For kitting out a room right after landing it makes a real difference, next-day delivery on most of it, and Deliveroo membership comes along with it.

Why it is worth doing on day one
Amazon is one of the largest shopping and delivery platforms in Italy. I ordered a pile of small electronics right after landing, and with Prime most of it turned up the next day.
If your dorm room is missing the basics, sheets and pillows and so on, order them before your move-in date. That way you are not spending your first days hunting for shops in a city you do not know yet.
What else comes with it
Prime bundles in some other memberships, Deliveroo among them, which is more useful than it sounds when you have not worked out where to buy food yet.
